Peter began dancing at age 9 in his native Slovakia. He danced and competed throughout Europe as a child and junior dancer. At age 15 Peter started to study musical acting, singing, and dancing in a special conservatory for gifted artists. Shortly after, for the first time, he stood on the stage of a professional theater in the production of the Musical, "Dracula". At age 17 he became a part of Slovakia's famous formation team "Olympia" and successfully competed at the World Formation Championship in Stuttgart Germany.
Throughout his studies, he appeared many times on television, film, and very often worked in dubbing and radio. Peter also holds a degree in Theatrical Directing and Dance Choreography.
While working on an acting career, Peter continued his success with competing in International Latin and Standard Dancing and won on many occasions.
When he arrived in the United States in 1996, Peter first started teaching as a Dance Instructor for the Fred Astaire chain of dance studios and later coached around the US in different dance studios. At the same time, Peter professionally competed in the International Standard Division with his dance partner Oksana Tryakina. He trained and worked with the top world coaches from England, Canada, US, Russia, and New Zealand.
He later worked as a Dance Choreographer with prestigious Broadway Stars: Jekyll and Hyde's Robert Cuccioli, Phantom of the Opera's Mark Jacoby and well-known Dana Reeve in the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival Theater in the production of the Musical “Enter The Guardsman”.
In 2001 he partnered with Irina Sarukhanyan. They quickly became successful in the American Smooth Division and traveled extensively throughout the United States (Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Boston, New York, and many other cities), performing numerous shows, competing and winning many prestigious Competitions. Peter holds the title of "US National Professional Classic Show Dance Finalist". In 1999 Peter and Clea Carchia founded Indigo Ballroom Dance Studio and in 2005 Peter co-partnered with Michelle Termini. He now serves as Co-owner and Creative Director of Indigo Ballroom.
